Maxim Kronhaus, the author of best selling books "Russian language on the verge of a nervous breakdown" and "The basterd-talk guidebook", will be publicly interviewed by Nicolai Alexandrov on the topic of taboos in the Russian language. Taboo, as a language entity, is based on a belief that language has the power to directly influance the world that surrounds us. Maxim Kronhaus's research is focused on modern Russian language in its various forms, such as literary, colloquial and virtual (online talk).

Recital night "Life is everywhere" New Space Registration

The recital night will feature Russian poet, literary critic and publicist Lev Rubinstein reading his poetry and responding to follow-up questions of the audience. Lev Rubinstein is a multiple literary awards winner, and creator of his own stylistics of minimalism, and a whole new genre called the "index-card". He is also one of the founders and prominent leader of the Moscow conceptualism movement.

Project presentation Dmitri Kourliandski "The institute of perception" New Space Registration

"The perception institute" is a program that includes perception into the field of artistic disciplines, and puts it side by side with music, visual art, dance, theatre and cinema. Perception - is an act of creation: what is heard is created by us listening to it; what is seen is costructed by us observing it; and what is retreived from the text is created by us reading it. The program incorporates public lectures; individual masterclasses that teach artistic creation; arts projects and individual prervormance activities, created by the students in the process of active artistic perception. It is completed by a festival of perception - a presentation / realization of projects made by the institute students.

Laboratory of vocal improvisation Alexey Kochanov "Freeing the voice" New Space No registration

This labortory and its participants will study the voice and its capabilities; how it is coordinated with the body, and how one can unbind his body by means of a vocal impovisation. It will provide an opprotunity to feel a new bond between the voice and the body, and to take notice of how the breath becomes easier, and producing sound comes in a more natural way.

All applicants, notwithstanding their musical background, are welcome to join.
